This past weekend we went offshore one day to try the wrecks one more time, not very productive. However, the bass fishing is still very good. We stopped for a quick drift on the way in Saturday and put some in the boat not far from the inlet. Cody and Jason split the pool with there bass.
On Sunday, Chad Davies put together a fishing trip for his soon to be married brother and we put in a day of jigging for the stripers. Our largest was 46″ with all the others 30″ or better. We caught our first two blues also.
The seabass season opens May 19 and we have dates open the first week, there has been a decent showing of the tasty fellas on some of the inshore wrecks so this should be a good season.
