Thursday was alot different than Monday in terms of the weather and the fishing !  Wayne Clark brought down some co-workers from his squad to do a little fluke fishing, but the southerly winds of the two previous days cooled off the water substantionaly, into the upper 50’s ! The fish didn’t cooperate and then by late morning neither did the weather as the thunderstorms made an end for the day.

Saturday though things got back on track and the Dan Devlin group had some good fluke fishing. We fished 45-50′ depths and had over 60 fluke, 6 of which were keepers. They also had some keeper seabass and big sea robins, yes, sea robins, they really are good eating.

Today, Alex Lipman had a bachelor party/inshore tuna trip. So we headed out to the Chicken Canyon area. Things were slow until after lunch when the fish started to make an appearence. We switched from trollng to jigging and caught three bluefins, we kept one, couldn’t get one over. Did troll a nice mahi early on, conditions were good, fish just took a little break, there are some nice fish in the area.
